Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to Clarity, including the public website, mobile app, account connection features, Rex assistant, waitlist, contact forms, and support paths.

By using Clarity, you agree to use the product responsibly and understand that Clarity is not a regulated financial, legal, tax, accounting, banking, lending, brokerage, or investment advisory service.

The service

Clarity helps organize personal financial context.

Clarity provides tools for reviewing spending, budgets, goals, financial context, assistant conversations, memory, and related planning workflows. Rex is the AI assistant inside Clarity. Rex may help summarize information, explain options, and organize context, but you remain responsible for your own decisions.

Eligibility and accounts

Use your own information and keep account access secure.

Personal use

Clarity is intended for personal use by people who can form a binding agreement and use the product in compliance with applicable laws.

Accurate information

You are responsible for the information you provide, upload, connect, or ask Clarity to process.

Account security

Keep your sign-in credentials secure. Do not share access, submit bank passwords through public forms, or use Clarity to access accounts you are not authorized to use.

Financial boundaries

Clarity and Rex do not replace professional advice.

Clarity may provide summaries, categories, forecasts, suggestions, or assistant responses based on available context. These outputs may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or not appropriate for your situation. You should review information carefully and consult qualified professionals for investment, tax, legal, accounting, credit, insurance, or other regulated advice.

Clarity and Rex do not move money, pay bills, open accounts, apply for credit, file taxes, make purchases, or take external financial actions for you.

Connected accounts

Account connections depend on user permission and providers.

Clarity is designed to use user-authorized account-connection providers such as Plaid. Available data may depend on your financial institution, connection provider, permissions, account type, and product configuration. Clarity does not guarantee continuous access, immediate balance updates, exhaustive transaction coverage, or error-free categorization.

You may be able to disconnect accounts where supported, and you can request help through the published Data Deletion or Contact paths.

Acceptable use

Use Clarity lawfully and safely.

  • Do not use Clarity to access accounts or data you are not authorized to access.
  • Do not submit malware, abusive content, secrets, credentials, or sensitive documents through public forms.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass product controls.
  • Do not use Clarity to commit fraud, evade law, impersonate others, or make prohibited financial decisions.
  • Do not rely on Rex outputs as the only basis for important financial, legal, tax, credit, health, or safety decisions.

Availability and changes

Clarity may change as the product develops.

Clarity may be modified, paused, limited, or discontinued. Features may depend on third parties, financial institutions, internet access, AI providers, speech providers, hosting providers, account-connection providers, and user permissions.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Clarity after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Important limitations

Use Clarity with judgment.

Clarity is provided on an as-available basis. We do not promise that the product will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly secure, or suitable for every purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clarity is not responsible for decisions you make based on summaries, categories, predictions, assistant responses, or third-party data availability.
